    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
    + Maintain software platforms which include, but not limited to, PeopleSoft, Achievers, and Visier. Support and maintenance of these software platforms include: day-to-day support and maintenance, patch and bundle implementations, software enhancements, upgrades, acquisitions and new software implementations in support of BHC's growth strategy.

Job Specifications
Base salary is determined by the knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant.
The Sr. Analyst will work with business partners to define the scope of business needs and translate processes from detailed functional requirements to technical design specifications. Partner with Human Resources staff to develop work process design and flow, improve processes, and leverage the return on HR technological capabilities. Design and implement new software functionality within the ERP system. Build project plans, ensure adherence to project schedules, maintain a systems orientation, and work effectively with peers to set technology priorities and conduct long-term planning. Serve as technical point-of-contact and assist subject matter experts with defining scope, testing of system changes, and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities. Evaluate business requests to determine requirements, feasibility, and recommend business solutions. Recommend and develop solutions for process improvements or new functionality. Support upgrades, patches, testing and other technical projects as assigned. Provide support to user community.
+ Recommend, design, and implement process improvements or enhancements and innovative solutions to leverage technology applications. Collaborate with end users to define the scope of business needs and translate processes from detailed functional requirements to technical design specifications.
+ Assist in the review, testing and implementation of HRIS upgrades or patches. Collaborate with functional and technical staff to coordinate application of upgrade or fix.
+ Assist in vendor selection and analysis and coordinate configuration and implementation of new systems/modules.
+ Take proactive steps to evaluate issues, determine alternatives, and implement the appropriate solution.
+ Develop user procedures, guidelines and documentation.
+ Train initial users on system and existing users on new processes/functionality.
+ Review and audit data in a systematic way to ensure data integrity for credibility, compliance and consistency purposes.
+ Interact with Human Resources staff and user community to accomplish proactive work plans for continuous improvement and application of technology.
+ Foster and promote proactive communication within the Human Resources Department and throughout the corporation.
+ Support and/or participate in continuous improvement efforts.
+ Maintain knowledge on upcoming software improvements to be delivered by software provider.
+ Network with other software users to obtain new ideas on best business practices and strategies on managing efficient human resource and reporting systems.
+ Discuss and explain technical implementations to project staff, business users, and management, either verbally or in writing
+ Participate and represent the corporation in civic, industry and professional organizations.
+ Maintain strong working relationships within Human Resources Department and IT Developers.
+ Maintain supportive and respectful working relationships with all Black Hills Corporation employees and departments.
+ Maintain professional relationship with all vendors.
+ A minimum of four (4) to six (6) years' relevant experience in an ERP system.
+ Systems implementation and database tools experience required.
+ Experience in SQL databases preferred.
+ PeopleSoft HCM experience preferred.
+ Bachelor's Degree in business administration, human resources, computer science or related field required or equivalent experience working in relational databases.
+ Continuous improvement, change management and quality principles.
+ Broad understanding of HR processes and data, including eligibility and enrollment rules, and benefit procedures in order to ensure correct implementation.
+ Strong understanding of HRIS database design, structure, functions and processes.
+ Strong understanding of data sharing between systems.
+ Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point.
+ Effective organizational and interpersonal skills.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
+ Ability to meet deadlines in an environment of rapid change.
+ Proven ability to create and execute complex project plans.
+ Ability to train customers using appropriate training methods to address varying levels of computer proficiency.
+ Demonstrated strong analytical and problem solving skills.
+ Ability to work independently.
+ Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of business and personal employee information.
+ Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred.
+ Formal coursework and certification in change management desired.
+ Travel to Company locations, professional conferences and other industry meetings.
